Director,Asia Sales



Reports to:              

Executive Vice President

 Position Objective and Client Overview

 Accountable for:

•       Directs and manages regional sales activities of UV products in Asia.  Coordinates the strategy, training, sales support, forecasting, key customer presentations, technical support and management participation in Asia to meet or exceed planned sales volumes. Manages Regional Sales Directors/Managers and indirect sales representatives.

•       The Director, Asia Sales will work out of the company facilities/office in Shanghai, China.


Key Responsibilities:

•       Directs indirect and direct sales representatives in Asia to achieve sales goals and increase market share.

•       Prepares order forecasts on a regular basis, by country.

•       Assists in preparing and managing expense budgets for support of Asia.

•       Makes sales calls, in conjunction with territory-related members of the regional sales organization, and participates in developing and executing appropriate sales strategies and tactics.

•       Supports the Customer Service and Order Entry functions in providing accurate and competitive sales proposals to customers.

•       Prepares regional and industry-specific marketing and business-related reports to educate and assist management in understanding regional business conditions.

•       Analyses regional customer needs and develops plans involving new products, policies, procedures, and service offerings to maximize company success in those markets.

•       Participates in developing and executing yearly regional Sales and Marketing Plans.

•       Directs product and sales training to regional sales and support personnel.

•       Directs foreign language sales and support documentation for use in Asia.

•       Participates in developing regional pricing and advertising policies and programs.

•       Participates in regional trade shows and seminars.

•       Provides materials and information for press releases, public relations, marketing, journal articles, and seminar presentations beneficial to regional and domestic marketing efforts.

•       Responsible for ensuring high quality customer responsiveness.


Core Abilities and Experience:

•       Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, chemistry, physics, or materials science, or equivalent, and 5 years successful experience in a related position.

•       Demonstrated leadership in international sales management within Asia Pacific markets.

•       Knowledge of the UV Curing industry or closely related technologies and markets. Experience selling capital equipment to industrial/manufacturing markets.

•       Willingness to travel internationally over 50% of the time.

•       Excellent written (English) and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver complex technical and business presentations.

•       Demonstrated successful selling and negotiating skills.

•       Demonstrated ability to set goals, manage time and control costs.

•       Ability to work in and navigate a complex, highly-matrixed organizational structure/environment.
